Frequently Asked Questions
ON-SITE REGISTRATION: There will be on-site registration Friday and Saturday during posted packet pick up hours. Cash and Card only will be accepted. No checks. On-line registration will stay open until 7:45AM on race morning.
FOOTWEAR: Classic Running shoes will be sufficient on this course. While it is run on a mixture of paved roads, trails, dirt roads and manicured grass fields, there will be little, if any, rough, "treacherous" terrain. With that said, if choosing between the two we suggest trail shoes.
TIMING: Both the 5K and Half Marathon will be timed using the MyLaps BibTag timing system.
CUT OFF TIMES: Athletes will be allowed 4 Hours to complete the Half Marathon, and thus, also the 5K.
RELAY TEAMS: The Hartness Half offers a Relay Team option where two team mates join forces to tackle the 13.1 mile route. Each team member will run one lap with the tag point being near the finish line.

PACKETS: Packets / Race Materials MAY be picked up for other runners.
ATHLETE SWAG: All athletes will receive a custom, long sleeve race t-shirt as well as a custom Half Marathon or 5K finisher's medal. As registrations are difficult to predict we will do our best to have enough shirts for everyone. Deadline for guaranteed t-shirt size is 3 weeks prior to the event date.
CHARITY: The Hartness Half Marathon & 5K will benefit A Child's Haven, a Greenville based 501 (c) (3) organization that treats children with developmental delays due to limited resources, abuse or neglect and provides support and education to their families.
